Why? What's wrong with the Pro4 Hara??!?!!?!!!

Maybe you can decode all that and find something useful, but I didn't.

Are they really coming out with something new? The Hara seems fine to me.....

I think Hot Bodies has taken over that role...at least for the moment with the Cyclone.

Thast too bad. The Pro 4 was and still is a very solid car. Maybe not the greatest choice for Mod but last time I checked 27 and 19 were pretty popular too.
I can only hope they continue it and keep two options available like Tamiya.

What's with HPI not continuing the Pro series cars? Did they mention a reason?

What about the Sport lineup? There are bajillions of people who got their start in electric touring bashing in parking lots with HPI Sport RTR cars. It would be a shame if they discontinued both of those cars.

Any idea when this will happen?

I'll tell you whats wrong with it. It cant handle brushless! I am running the GTB/4.5 velociti and the rear of the car is weak as butter left on a curb in the New York City sun! run the spool, tear up the universals and CVD's. Run their ball diff, weak as 8 day old coffee and slips! Other than those two items, the car is good to go. I called HPI and they told me and I quote," This car was not designed to handle high turn, torque-ey motors". Your high end car cant handle high turns? Then how is HARA's car winning modified events running 7 doubles? Is he using another manufacturers parts? I go through diffs clip within two minutes and with a one way in the front, that makes me run brushless AND BRAKELESS!
turn signal...There will be a Pro 5. There are some details they are ironing out (Hara and that other asian fella, cant spell his name) with their other sponsors. Once that stuff is solidified, HPI will at a later to be announced date, will come with a new car. All that jibber jabber about Hot Bodies taking over their car line is rubbish. The two companies will maintain "seperate" identities *sic-team orion/peak....thunder tiger/team associated....trinity/epic". People, unless you have something in writing, don't go posting rumors and innuendo.

Damn dude, what's your problem? Do you race at all on a track? If the answer is no, then stop complaining. The Pro4 is in fact a "high end car" designed for racing, if you want the bash and abuse the crap out of something get a monster truck. Hara's Pro4 stays together just fine because he knows how to drive and maintain a car. If you want speed you have to pay for it.

It seems as if the Cyclone will be the hot car for the HPI Hot Bodies camp. As far as the quality of the Pro 4 kit is concerned, it is rock solid. In fact the Pro 4 is a great car. I have seen some very talented racers run the Velocity 4.5 with no complaints. One car developed a mechanical issue after the driver hit a dot flipping the car on it's lid followed by a 15ft. slide into the wall. But that was pure driver error. The big beef with the Pro 4 is that it is a shaft driven design. The current trend seems to be in favor of the belt driven sedans.
