I think MOST of us racers will agree that 5 amps should really be the minimum for any kind of racing. 4 amps is fine for just playing around but you need at least 5 amps to be able to keep up with the rest of the boys.

I actually DO have a power supply. It's called an 12V automobile battery. I take that to the tracks when A/C power is not readily availible to me. Other than that, I can plug into a friends generator. The Automotive battery will last a full day of racing charging my 2400 packs at 6.5 amps. NOTE: I charge my Kids 1500 sport packs at 4 amps to get enough run time for a 5 min race and it's easier on the un-matched packs.

dare i venture off and ask about charging amps?
what's the difference?i see in the manual of my charger that says charge nicads at 3 times tha capacity=7.2A for my 2400's
wouldnt that be a little too much?and then on the same piece of paper it says charging at high amps reduce run time.
and then they say to follow manufacturer's ratings

now i just follow what other ppl do and charge at 5A.

My personal suggestions:
2000, 2400 @ 5 amps
3000H @ 5.5 - 6a
3000HV @ 6 - 7a
3300 @ 6-7a

I have not used Panasonic cells.
