Im looking to run one of these for 4-cell 1/12th scale road course dont know which one to get

protc3 07-21-2006 05:10 PM

go 5.5 dude.they are all fast but i think any more than the 5.5 will lift the front tires on a 1/12th. :lol:

Any Kv ratings on this new motor?

danjoy25 07-21-2006 06:36 PM

Novak must be gearing up for 4 cell racing as there is no way a GTB will not thermal with 6 cells ;)

syndr0me 07-21-2006 06:37 PM

I don't know the exact brushed equivalents, but here's Novak's brushless motor lineup, exclusing the HV and other specialty motors.

3.5R (3.5 turns) [available soon]
4.5R (4.5 turns)
5.5R (5.5 turns)
6.5R (6.5 turns)
7.5R (7.5 turns)
5800 (8.5 turns)
4300 (10.5 turns)
SS13.5 (13.5 turns) [available soon]
Crawler 18.5 (18.5 turns) [available soon]

I've tried to work it out in comparison to the ss series so the KV would probably be higher due to the stronger magnets.

10.5=4300
8.5=5800
7.5=6550
6.5=7300
5.5=8050
4.5=8800
3.5=9550

Ihave only driven the 5.5 and 4.5, the 4.5 is the fastest motor I have ever seen, even against 7turns it seems slightly quicker.

5.5=8turn
4.5=7turn
3.5=6turn?
