What are the springs needed for the 19 quad mag to get the best performance on this motor. And which side will they go on? Also what else can i do to the motor to make it better

I used F-brushes and the silver springs, or purple/red springs with a cavity in the face of the brush. 767's work just fine too.

But I'd honestly dump the Reedy for a Komodo 19T. Motor is insane.

XXX Lemans (full face) and purple(x) and red(-) is a good starting place. Ok XXX's might not give that final 0.005% performance gain that other brushes will but they handle the heat really well. The Quad is a high maintenance motor compared to a C2 or V2 and is bad for burning brushes and the comm. So running with XXX's i was up to 3/4 runs before the comm needed a skimm, just clean up the brushes with a comm stick and reassemble

Conrad is right but if you use XXX brushes with REALLY stiff springs the Reedy 19 comes alive. I use Orion Black springs that were sold for the CORE mods. They are STIFF!

No matter the brush every 19T motor needs a skim every run to keep top performance. The beauty of the xxx's is that you can re-use them in for 15-20 runs. Just brush off the face with a comm stick and break them in again for 3-5 min. Replace them when you lose ~1mm in brush length.
