It is nice just working on the car.

I did find that had to gear it up quite a bit compared to the gearing on my monster to get the straight-line speed. Overall, I found that there was no speed advantage/disadvantage compared with a normal brushed stock motor.

I'm guessing if you put the sintered rotor in the 13.5, it's going to make it too fast for stock?

A question for those who have rune the 13.5, Does it stack up to a hot 27 turn or more like the speed of an out of the box stock?

If by 'hot ' 27 you mean something like a 'tuned' Monster then it does.

Tower Hobbies is showing that it's now in stock (limited quantities).

Edit: Eh, now it's back to mid-August. Dammit!

I called Tower today to ask the same question. (I too, had some backordered). Apparently, their Reno distrubution center received a small quantity (3 or 4) today. She said there wasn't enough to fulfill the backorders, but she did a bad job at explaining why they were shown as "In stock".

I noticed if you try to buy 2, Tower's shopping cart will show you that there is only 1 in stock right now.

The good news is, they are expecting a larger shipment next week.

i don't quite understand the pricing on the 13.5. towerhobbies has the 10.5 at 58 bucks and the 8.3 at 75 bucks, yet the 13.5 is at 77 bucks. i thought the 13.5 was going to be the cheapest of them, but that doesn't seem so. are they planning on lowering the price later on to match the price trend of the other motors, or is it gonna be the more expensive SS forever?
