Hi im after a little help, I know you guys Know your stuff so i thought id give you the chane to shine and shower me with your knowledge.
I have a stock TL01 and have just brought a venom 19x2 modified motor and wrap around heatsink!!
Thing is i have a stoch ESC and was told by one company that the stock ESC would handle my newly purchased beast!!
On the other hand i have someone saying i have to fit a new ESC because mine will go pop!!
If yours is one of the Expert Built RTR TL01's then yes you will need a new speed controller. The mechanical one will not handle that motor. The plus side is that you will loose alot of weight and the car will be faster.
OK the car is stock and the motor i brought is a 19x2 so its not a crazy motor(its a venom one).
i brought a 15 turn limit esc with forward break and reverse (couldnet live without reverse) i want to get the barrings kit but i have the manual but it looks a fair job stripping down the car and replacing them. any tips, (and are the bearings on ebay that cost under a tenner GBP any good their metal)
as for the gears i want acceleration for drifting and outrunning my mates car not so much top end so will the standard bearrings be ok???
the car came running with a TECHNIPLUS controller and the esc supposidly will be fine with that?? is that true??
this is my esc i brought any ideas??
Mtroniks Sonik4 RV15 ESC (Fwd/Brake/Reverse,15t Limit)
also what other hop up will improve power that is fairly cheap and easy to install??
cheers for the help kris
(this is my car the shell has had a beating but the rims look minted 8)
the bearing kit you mention... if its the Walawala store ones... they'll be fine Just for the time being, don't take the greese out. It's a comon racers trick for a freer running car, but it can reduce the life of the bearing.
