Stratus 3.0 vs Mazda6 vs Accord vs Nemesis?
any rundown on these bodies? against each other?
thanks! |
TRACK
Each of these bodys is for different tracks. Ie. The Mazda 6 is for short and more twisty tracks in comparison to the Stratus 3 which is for longer more flowing tracks. the Accord is like the Mazda 6 but it has more entry steering if I remember, but I have no idea about the memesis and would never race one. Just use what the top guys are running is the best bet m8

i would rate the nemesis alongside the strat 2

Mazda 6 is pretty good all around.

I dont think the nemesis can be run at big events (depending on the rules) because it is not based on a production car

From what I understand Protoform has submitted the Nemesis for Roar approval, This is due to the Major Manufactures wanting money (Licencing Fees) for the use of "their" name. I think after 2006 you wont see to many name cars like the Mazda's, Honda's, Dodges..etc. If you race Carpet you will like the Nemesis.. The new Parma M looks really good..I have the 200mm Nitro one and it drives very nice, And it is Roar approved, It's not based on any car so I guess that it no longer has to look like a real car to get Roar approval..

Anyone know the weight difference between the lightweight versions of the protoform touring bodies and the heavier duty versions?

thanks! Accord - responsive steering stratud 3.0 - like Mazda (all purpose version) but i prefer the Mazda Nemesis - never tried it as far lightweight not a lot of advantage on handling they just crack easy, if you crash. just my 2cent. ;) |
I think the information you privide is misleading :) (no offence)
Stratus 1 is neutral :) Stratus 3 AP provides much more steering with somewhat rear stability, very good on flowing tracks as mentioned before Mazda 6 Steering (better than stratus 3 ap) and stability but for small tracks Nemesis never tried Ride Accord if I have time I'll try it today but for what I have seen is usually used on small tracks like Mazda Ride Stratus 2, Ride Stratus 3 if I have time I'll try them today Nick |

the track i frequent is more flowing with a very long straight before a sweeping turn. the chicanes are pretty wide too. so it looks like the stratus 3 AP would be the better option judging from your comments. thanks! much appreciated!

The 3.0 Stratus, to me, felt like it rotated from the center of the car- like the downforce was focused in the middle.
The M6 I like because I can drive really agressive with it, stable maybe alittle push. Nuetral all-around. Just my opinion. |
I've always thought the Mazda 6 was a better big track body than the Stratus. I am running the Yokomo Accord...very close to the Ride TSX/Accord. If you like the Mazda 6, you'd like this body.
