Got Xray? 06-15-2006 11:05 PM

are all xray belts same size?

hey guys i need a new rear belt for my T2 but my LHS only has rear belts for an evo2...will this fit?

wcalaker 06-16-2006 08:46 AM

I dont know if all of them are the same but the ones for the Evo2, 05 and T2 are all the same part numbers.

Front belt is P/N#305431
Rear belt is P/N#305442

This was on the Xray site under spare parts for all their cars.

Some people working at the hobby stores still dont know that the tranny is the exact same on the 05 as it is on the T2.

Hope this helps.

The evo had a slightly wider belt (4mm I think) which might not fit on the narrow middle pulley. Measure the belt and if it's 3mm then you will know it will fit.

If I am not mistaken, XRay quick making the wide belt and all of them are 3mm now. Even for the earlier models. I thought I remember reading that somewhere.

Yeah that's right but if he is getting the belt from a hobby shop it could be one of the older belts.

PlainOleDave 06-16-2006 09:48 PM

...anyhow, YES they are all the same length! only the width has changed.

Whoops, left the door open for the S.A.es
For all of the 1/10th scale Xrays!

They are not the same 04-has 1.77 internal 05 1.7 width makes no difference went from 32 to 34 tooth pulley :)

Sorry Steve. Yes the ratio changed BUT! the belts did not. When they changed the pulley's, they maintained the belt length. I believe it was a
16t drive pulley with a diff pulley of 34t, ratio of 2.125 then
18t drive pulley with a diff pulley of 32t, ratio of 1.77 now
20t drive pulley with a diff pulley of 34t, ratio of 1.7 then...

Correct.
These are the current belts:

High-Performance Kevlar Drive Belt Front 3x507mm
High-Performance Kevlar Drive Belt Rear 3x180mm

The length was always the same. The width was 4 mm.

What are the #305439 belts for?

While racing today, I installed new belts (FK05). Low and behold, the front belt was way too short, about 1.5 inches or so from the pully/shaft. After inspecting the belt, noticed it had part #305439 - on it. The belt came out of a sealed Xray parts bag, part #305431. The other spare I got, this past week, also is packaged in #305431, but the part # on the belt is 305439 :weird: :weird:

Looks like Xray has mispackaged some belts.

Yup, you got a T1M belt. That's the baby X-Ray. 12th scale touring car. I have one. The rear belt is the same as the other X-Rays but the front is shorter.
