its in the rules. http://www.tamiyausa.com/tcs_races/rules.php

16. Important announcement: In the spirit of keeping TCS Racing unique in terms of appearance to the public at large the Subaru Legacy B4 body (items 53727, 49374 & 53824) are not legal for all GT classes.
EDIT: these rules are for TCS races in the United States

if it was made legal everyone would run it and it would be a field of Legacy's. Tamiya likes to support the use of several bodies and scale appearance. The Legacy is a perfromance body and looks very far from scale.

Are you in the USA or Canada? The rules are different depending - in Canada at least "B4 Tamiya Subaru bodies allowed in GT1. " There are other rule changes too, so lumping all of North America together might cause you trouble.

Definately the NSX and Ferrari (360 and F430) are the most popular. I would also add to check out the Vette. Offers a lot of steering, though i would replace the wing it comes with for the hop-up one.

Going to pick up a NSX body.

What about tires? A, B2, or B3's? Inserts?

if you want to drift... B2! ask any of the old school TCS'ers here in Socal how much they hated those tires!

Yeah always B3 tires, especially at the Aliso track. It never gets hot enough for B2 tires to work well. Get a set of B3 with green inserts, and maybe one with black inserts(haven't tried those myself).
