Schottky q's
Hi,
what type of diode am I looking for to put onto my motor?
Can I use a 600V, 15A diode, with 3 in series and 3 in parallel, or is this too little?
TIA

A dual rectifying schoktty is very efficient and has very high power handling. The novak external schoktty board is just one of those mounted on a pcb. You could try to add some surface area to the stock heatsink my fixing it to some aluminum which would further increase the power handling, or you could parallel two of them.
here's a good candidate

So, does it have to be rectifying? All I found is that there is a Schottky Diode 600V, 15A, thats all it said.

All rectification is, is cutting the negative swing of a signal off (used in non-swithcmode power supplies along with ripple filtering to convert AC to DC). The one I linked to is 30 amps and should be good for ESC applications.

Don't put them in series.

definately, parallel if you need more, which I doubt would be necesary.
