i use to have the older blue case version. i bought two of the X3's. i have been happy with mine and CE's service is top notch. my older blue case shorted when i had a lead come off when charging. the fuse blew but it didn't work right. i sent it in for repair with a letter of what happen. he reset the program and told me how. i got charged the minumin fee. i sent the charger on a monday and got it back friday. he fixed it the day it arrived.
the X3 only charges, but i use 12volt motors for my lathe and brush serrator. i discharge with another discharger. these chargers have not false peaked on me. but i have not tried the IB batteries yet. and i only have GP3700's.

put many inputs as you can.. whether positive or negatives youve experienced in your pitbull and Pitbull x3..

Since noone has posted a negative, I thought I would go ahead and do it. I found the menu to be quite a burden to learn initially. When you change a profile's settings, it saves every half-second, and it makes this retarded beeping, and it really gets on my nerves. Other than that, everything went relatively smoothly.

It does have instructions that can be read it no time.
It is by far the best charger for the money and service is second to none.

yeah the tones are very annoying...
its like monophonic tones.. but the very good thing is this charger pitbull or x3 are very good in terms of charging...
unlike the eagle cdc 6.0/b2 that my friend have.. it charges the packs that i gets soo hot even if u set it to 3mv peak,, so f**k,, ahehehehe
but the good thing in eagle cdc 6.0/b2 it has discharge function, etc, other than that the charging sucks..

My dad has one and loves it...part of the reason is because if he plugs his battery in backwards all he has to replace is a fuse and not a whole charger....LOL

It seems most of the people have "the Pitbull" for two years now. So do I And I have to say, "the Pitbull" is a very good charger. Why? Because for it's price It deliveres all the options you want, dropoff voltage, long peak lock-out and a logical setup menu. And even this "budget" charger tells you the charge it has given to your pack. I would recommend this charger for everyone who wants a compact(budget) super charger.

Great charger, and while you can shut off many of the annoying sounds and noises, there are still more than a few that cannot be shut off. My only complaint is the annoying beeps and buzzers on the charger, but I have plans to dismantle mine and muffle the noise speaker.
I think the noises are more annoying when it is someone else's charger. Your pit mates might be on track when their battery finishes, and the charger just sits and beeps relentlessly.
It's a minor complaint for an inexpensive charger that is almost identical to it's bigger brother Turbochargers. I don't think you can go wrong with a Pitbull.
