You really didnt need anything else for it. Car was pretty dialed right out of the box, now that the MI2EU has come out it jumped all the way to $420! Someone please tell me what major advancement made this car go up this much, and dont tell me its the shock towers, shocks ect. I didnt cost them anymore to produce those things than it did with the original kit!
My whole point is, where did all the $250 kits go? Besides the Team TC4, and TA05 there are no kits that are REASONABILY priced to attract newcomers, or guys like me who wouldnt mind having a new 2nd car on hand. This is the downside to these high $$$ kits we have now.
The currency exchange rate has alot to do with the price of foreign cars. The dollar is weaker than is was a few years ago.

Default Show me the MONEY.. $$$$$$$$$$$

2 things....

a) It's about making money.
b) It's about making money.

I just bought an Academy SBV2. $550.00 AUD.

It's crap. Most of the bearings are "slip rings". The "Tuning Parts" that I'd expect with this pricetag are OPTIONAL, and.. the manual is in JINGLISH to boot.

For the same price as the SBV2, I got LOSI XXX4-G+. Shits all over the Academy SBV2 which I've given away for free cause I hate it so much.

Now I feel better.

Cheers,
John

and you might also consider that the cars are made on smaller volumes than before, that alone makes the prices go higher, new moulds and everything. the only company that i can think of that have made a really big profit in the touring market are associated, who else have had a car that have lasted in 6 years?

Humm, something tells me you dont know alot about RC then.

Unless your breaking things down that far that saying every man on the planet "looks the same" is a valid statement ??

Because brushless motor get hot.. they have a thermal setting and when the motor or esc hits that point it shuts down.. heatsinks or fans allow higher gearing for more speed.. without things being cooler you would have to gear lower because of the thermal setting.. Heat is resistance, which isnt efficient..

Exactly. It looked like a decent car in the Reedy race, but they are all decent cars with the right person behind the wheel. I just hope when they bring it out, they dont start with a cheesy team version, just give us the full monty factory team and be done with it.
