I dont own a pitball charger but it seems to me that if the noises are bothering you or other drivers perhaps you should just go in and lift a lead of the speaker to silence it for good...just my 2 cents.

I pulled the top off the speaker... that killed the noise
But my question is why do all the new chargers have to make such annoying sounds? The user shouldn't have to do surgery to his charger just to get some peace and quiet

I have two Pitbull X3 chargers, both excellent. I too hate the noises, so will investigate disabling the speaker - good idea!

I think my software versions are 2.9 and 3.1, but I e-mailed CE and they said there was no discernable difference between the two. They did offer to update my old one though if I sent it in, and inferred it would be free.

It is a great charger, apart from the noises, and I think it is one reason my cells seem to last longer. Best charger I have owned.

I dont have a pit bull charger but I was wondering what you guys thought about the ice and orion advantage chargers compared to the pit bull?

yeah i emailed the CE too and said there was no differences between those versions.. its all about house something that he said... and compare to eagle its very goood.. the eagle charges the pack so hot that the cells got hurts everytime i charged it to eagle cdc v6/b...

pitbull x3 is very good in charging.. accurate dekta peak..
