I'm looking for a car with the smoothest transmission with the least amount of friction. I want the fastest possible car to use in 540.
I would prefer a belt drive car.

yea i had an evo 4 runing same gear ratio if not a tooth taller than a FT TC4 and same packs 1.2 volts in 540 pro (silver cans with any gearing) and he pulls away on the straights!!! weird as!

The Yokomo BD you have should have a smooth and free drive train for 540. I currently run a BD fitted with a grey 540 motor in Sydney, using double one way's and this is smooth as.

All cars can have smooth and free drive trains provided care is taken on building. Maintaining the free drive train is the key. This is dependant on periodic maintenance.

The BD hauls when using a 78 Spur and 34 pinion. This factor is also dependant on Batteries, type of speed controller and how smooth the driver is on the throttle and lastly setup.

If you want a belt drive car and you need it to be as free as possible, I'd reccomend a JRX-S. Of coarse, after you get past the incredible freeness of the drivetrain, you realize the rest of the car is a piece of crap... But in a 540 class, you'll be going slow enough that I don't think you'd have to worry about breaking it every time you put it on the track...

2wd something like a F103 or a 1/12 or 1/10 pan car. Smooth drive train.
