Motor brush finish too quick
guys, back on my post of my Tamiya Super stock motor TZ (23T), i havent cut the comm yet, but i replaced with a new set of Yokomo Brush. However, it get worn out again, it only last for 2 weeks, furthermore, i didn't play everday. Compared to when i bought it, with stock Tamiya brush, i can drift like hell for 2 months, with about 2packs per day. but now, it just finish too soon. may i know wats the problem? how can i fix it?

if your getting 2 months on a single set of brushes, thats damn good, most guys will change there brushes after 4-7 runs, and you shouldn't change your brushes without cutting the comm first, thats why your brushes are wearing faster now because there riding on a comm thats probably not round or smooth any more. cut the comm before changing brushes, or else your just throwing away $5 you just payed for you new brushes.

If you did not cut the comm when you replaced the brushes you may as well just replace the armature now. You are creating groove in the comm on that arm and the new brushes are not seating well hence why you are not getting good run time out of it. Why don't you consider a stock brushless system since you obviously don't know about maintenance for a brushed motor. Brushless would suit your needs better. If you don't want to buy brushless you may as well just get yourself another motor for that one has no more life in it the way you are running it.
