Default Which servo?

I need some tips regarding servos... what is good?

This is going to be used for on-road racing, I need something digital I guess.

Also, low profile would be nice.

Any tips welcome.

TIA

The Futaba 9550 is wonderful. VERY smooth servo, it's low profile, and it's digital.

www.servocity.com

great price on them too.

There's lot of brands and loads of models to choose from. Servos from Hitec are the toughest. Check them out too.

in the upper right hand corner of the screen, there is a SEARCH button. this has been discussed about 100 other times and the opinions have not changed.

Hitec servos are junk. If cost is your ONLY concern then don't buy them. If performance is your ONLY concern then don't buy them. Only reason to buy a Hitec servo is if you like buying the same part twice or if you really need a reason to complain about something.

Otherwise, there are MANY other BETTER servos out there than anything made by hitec.

Problems with Hitec servos
1. They don't center for crap
2. They don't center for crap
3. They don't center for crap

Yeah...search too... I wonder what would come up if you searched "seaball handjob"?

I have used the Futaba 9550s in my TC's for the last three years. never a problem, bullet proof, they work great - highly recommended. KoPropo just came out with a low profile unit, have not tried it first hand, but I have also used their full size servos in my TC's for the two years, they work great, bullet proof, but I stilll like my Futaba's better, they fell smoother, and center better. You can't go wrong with either.

Well, you got heavy issues man! My Hitec servo works good for me. Been using it for over a year now and I must say it's no junk.
