A LHS has the V2 for 65 USD (cheapest I can get it for here). Should I buy it, or get a LRP Fusion Phase 4.1/Nosram Extreme Modified 2?
Also, what gearing with an XRAY T1FK05 (preferably with the starndard spur)?
TIA
(for those who have read my other thread, what pinion should I get for a Mabuchi to go with the standard spur?)

Its a good motor.Lesser maintenence then the other 2 you've suggested.
As for gearing, what turn are you getting??
As for the mabuchi, how big is your track? Usually gear it at 4.5 to 5.

I wanted to run the mabuchi outside, just to practice (so doing 8s, ovals, etc).

Mabuchi for running outside. You could stick to a 5.5 gearing.

So, for the Mabuchi, 28 pinion and 84 spur would be OK? (internal drive ratio 1.7)
