Default Traxxas 4-tec

Anyone tried, or ran the electric version of the traxxas 4-tec rtr? How is the ESC, I think they give you a 19turn motor, whats the turn limit on this ESC? How about the other electronics?

Thanks!

If you have no caring asperations, don't wanna run your car on the street, and think you will beat the living tar out of the chassis by all means the 4-tec is fine. But for racing the car will almost always be at the back of the pack, and will cost you alot of money to get it to the front. It comes with a closed endbell 20 turn motor, and a mecanical speed control. If you just want a basher look at teh Kyosho Alpha 2 it is shaft drive, and comes RTR with a true esc. If you wanna race check out the RTR TC3, or RTR Losi XXX-S........

I just picked up a used 4-Tec for $17.50 lol. Its not that bad of a car. Seems like a solid platform for the newbie that likes the boards a lot. It does come standard with a MSC, and a 20 turn. RCCA had it as the fastest RTR touring car box stock at 21 mph. Add a electronic speed control and I think it would make a great first touring car. I am going to run it for grins and see how well I can do with it.

They do offer a lot of hop ups for it, this is the list I have found so far, and I haven't looked that hard.
