what will happen if I put a

Hi,
I have mixed and matched several different types of armatures and cans with mixed results..Some perform well and others not so well.
It is safe to do provided you check that everything is clear and not rubbing any where and you put the end bell back on the can the right way. I made the mistake of putting the endbell on the wrong way when I first started playing around with motors and boy oh boy... I thought that I had created a monster, until 2 minutes into the run when there was smoke everywhere... The 12 Turn arm was rocketing like an 8 turn but soon fried the epoxy of the wire on the armature and smoke started pouring out from the endbell...Not a pretty sight...
Just remember also that any mix and match motor will not be race legal at major events...

Well from my source say the Yokomo Magnet are stronger than Trinty`s & the holes in the can for cooling can let magnetic energy out if to big.

p2k armature into a revenge monster can?
Aluma;
Tried it and tested on my Dyno and the results were dissapointing. Very small gain in RPM, but lower than average power/torque numbers. The Monster Armature and Can were designed to work as a Team.

I think it's supposed to be faster to put the Green armature into the P2K cans - faster arm in stronger magnets.
Don't let anyone catch you racing that way though. . .

nah, i wouldnt cheat... I'm just curious what would happen.
I put a 9turn arm. into a tamiya dynarun motor can and seems to be okay. hehehehe Got bored one day and started mixin and matchin stuff with old motors. I also put the stock dynarun arm into the D4 can to see if it would work...

If you don't have a dyno just hook up a voltmeter that reads to .01 volt and you can measure any differences. Just make a 2 cell pack to power your motors so they are not screaming away and you can basically measure how an arm is performing in a particular can.. Just make sure that the timing is always set to the same mark for every test..
