I have to agree. I seen that also.

I have the race (and every other race) on video. I don't have Premiere on this box but I will try to install it right now and see if I can get something up. I'll keep you posted.

To those that have emailed me in the past few days, I just got back, I will be getting to everything hopefully by tomorrow evening.

I am just disappointed that it came down to the last race of the entire event and the so called world champ couldnt keep from making contact at the end of the straight to ruin the entire phenominal build up prior to that last heat. If he had a beef with Hara, then settle it some other way. In my opinion, someone at that level has no excuses when running someone over going into a sweeper. Next time, maybe he should look around at all the spectators that deserve to see the best drivers at "their" best.

Marc Rheinard was the class of the field all weekend. He could have easily just raced with Hara and made a sweet pass on him sometime with the 2 minutes and 30 seconds that was left in the race. In my opinion, that would have stung a lot more than taking the easy way of just running him over. I mean, anyone can just run somone else over. It takes a lot more skill to pass someone clean.

I am done with my opinions on this topic and will not stir up anymore stuff.

in the morning hara pulled marc aside and mde this kind of homie deal that they were going to run there tires in this order

5th round - NEW

6th round - used (they raced eachother in round 6)

7th round - NEW

8th round - used (they raced eachother in the last heat)

this was to make sure that they had good battles when they raced eachother and then run NEW tires when they werent racing eachother.

Supposidly Hara in the 6th round went against the deal and ran NEW tires when he raced marc. Wether he did or didnt no one will know but hara, but Hara was definitely fast the 6th round and beat Marc.

At that point there was lots of drama and Marc was pretty pissed off. They BOTH ran USED tires in the last round like the deal said but in order for HARA to win the event he had to win the last heat.

So if marc tangles them and puts them in 3rd and 4th for there heat then he has the win locked down.

Either way it happened it was kind of disappointing for the fans and spectators for it to happen that way. I mean it was aweseom knowing it was going to come down to the last race of the weekend to decide the overall and to have a stupid thing like what happened was a let down.

but oh well it happens it was a good event and what happened happened.

i would like to thank tamiya for holding another flawless event and would like to congratulate the Mike Truhe for his OPEN win and Reinhard / Hara / Numan for outstanding performances in the invitational class.
to clarify.. i was working Tech, checking tires for Round 6 of Invite. (sunday morning).

Hara was on new tires, Marc was on halves. (Used up front, new in the rear).

that race ended with Hara in first, and Marc in second.

EDIT: My mistake on this... Marc was on completely USED tires (all fours).... the post above was an educated guess. i couldnt remember if it was all four that was used.. or just two. Troy (another tech) and Josh Numan, and other TRF drivers confirmed Marc's tires for the 6th round.

The next photo is of Brian Kinwald and is my favorite of this race. I have nothing but respect for this guy and this photo may be indicative of what it has been like for him this past year.

And finally, I want to thank Tamiya/Fred and Associated/Reedy for putting on a fine show. This pretty much sums up their relationship...
