Radio Question
I have a quick question. I have a Futaba FM 75mhz ch. 66 radio. I was wondering if I could just buy another Futaba RX and a ch. 66 crystal set for it and use it with the radio I have already. The only problem is I can't find the same exact receiver that I have now. Could I just buy any Futaba Rx? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Any 75MHz FM Futaba compatible Rx will work. For crystals, you don't have to get 66. in fact it's probably better to get a different channel so now you have a backup to choose in the case you're somewhere where someone already has 66. Most racers have multiple crystal sets because often there are channel conflicts where people have to use second or third choices for frequencies..
It doesn't even have to be a Futaba receiver, companies like Novak sell recevers compatible with Futaba 75MHz FM transmitters.
Take a look in the used for sale forum. A receiver that fails from use is pretty rare compared with the other electronics in a vehicle. You may be able to find a good deal.

Thanks for the reply. As for getting a different channel, I already have 64, 65, 66, and 88. I just don't want to buy another Tx. Thanks though!
