Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll use up the ones in the kit then go from there. I have no LHS, so I'll have to buy from somewhere online. Thanks again!!

I read on another site about some people having some sort of diff issues with the Cyclone S. Anyone here know anything about that?

I know one of Andy Moore's recommendations for the for the regular Cyclone is run a tight rear diff.

The stock diffs suck, get the 3 racing aluminium diff outdrives in the back, leave the stock pulley in there and upgrade the balls to ceramic ones. If running stock or mod upgrade the front diff to the HB spool v2 or 3 with steel dogbones, if running 540 then purchase the HB front one way. 3 racing does make a spool but I'm not sure what its like.

Cheers

Yes stock diffs are probably not suitable for anything above stock. With regards to running a spool or oneway in the front. if you do this you have to upgrade the centre pulley system.

The plastic centre pulleys will strip on the front belt.

To upgrade the centre pulley system im not sure but i think with the current centre pulley you may be able to still use the plastic spur gear adapter and the plastic centre pulley for the rear belt.

Also i think vazzo means v2 universals. To my knowledge there is no v3 universal or v2 or v3 dogbones.... If you upgrade to universals you also need to upgrade the wheel axles and need the cross joints to assemble the universal.

I'm awaiting my cyclone S kits arrival. I heard someone mention before that there were some mistakes in the build manual. Anything I need to be aware of?

Ensure that the pivot blocks are in the right locations whe you screw them into the car. Both front and rear. Even though the are labled (who reads the labels) they look simuler if you put them in the wrong spots the steering will bind.

Put a little bushing lube on the steering bushings. Just a little.

Thanks. Not to be thick headed but I assume those were things I needed to be aware of and not the mistakes in the manual?

Can the diffs withstand 27T/17.5 motors with 4600mAh batteries? (box stock kit, no spool, no other mods)

That is correct. I just thought I would give you a heads up as its easy to turn around. You will find no "mistakes" in the manual.

just bought a Cyclone S Drift Special Edition kit, few queries to raise and hope to get some answers:

1. i have all stick type batteries.. can i use them on this kit?

2. if not, is there a thread to show us how to do up the battery pack to a side-by-side pack? What are the equipment needed and wires... or links...any instructional weblink that i can read it up.

3. What is the best pinion size for this kit with spur of 96T?

Pls advise. and Thanks in advance.
