I'm going to be reviewing mine for UKTCC, it should be part of our 'how to compete on a budget' feature. I've already got all the equipment, just waiting for the chassis.

The one advantage the S will have over the TA05 is likely going to be weight.. a TA05 in stock form gets to 1600g with current gear..
The S is based on the Cyclone, a racer as it is, and replacing most aluminum with plastic can only make it lighter..
I think it'd be easier for HB to provide universals, something already produced, instead of having to make dogbones and new axles...
If it weren't for parts (or lack thereof), I'd just grab one to whiz around the carpet for that price..
The T2R seems to be going the same way, but is keeping a little more of its original form at a bit higher cost.. I guess we'll be seeing a "Cyclone S vs. T2R vs. TA05" thread soon..
Your realize that The cyclone shares the PRO4 suspension parts eh? So parts are likely already on your LHS shelves if not they can get them in. Typically you'll need those parts before any other...
T2 should be great value i agree. But you T-do-O guys gotta forget them tamiyas! LOL

Ah, I thought people were having a hard time finding front uprights for the Pro4/Cyclone.. all them tamiya people snatching them up to run foams on their 415's! Hah..
Actually, quite a few guys here at Fastcats are sporting T2's nowadays... maybe only one shop around Toronto seriously supplies HPI/HB parts of any quantity..
I guess we're just suckers for those Minis.. If it weren't for the TCS series in the summer, I'd likely be driving a T2 or Cyclone. I might try the R or the Cyclone S for the big races and the indoor-foam season, and keep my TA05 and Mini for the TCS.. it basically gives me a race-per-month to occupy myself during the summer
Cool, Well im in the middle in Oklahoma, but that still dont sound that bad. I would probably be smart to order a few more things at the same time.
order everything all at one time to save on shipping..
shipping charges are based on Weight.. no std. flat fee.
also recommend you contact the seller to see if the items you want are in stock. that will save you headaches later on. Precision is pretty good about stock items on the website. if an item is listed on the website and end up not in stock..they will promptly refund you money right away. or back order it if you wish and shipped out when it arrives and your in-stock items will be shipped first. I've also ordered parts from RcModel with no problems.
Precision and Rcmodel are the ones I frequent most from HK.
Champs and Rainbowten in Japan.
