Is that a RCGT car? Looks good.

That is the nice thing about RCGT, you can keep the same chassis and electronics for multiple classes. Change bodies and tires and you are good to go.

Looks great but not worth it IMO, I had a similiar Cyclone S that I upgraded from Scratch and the cost worked out to be about the same if not more than buying a new high end chassis, honestly I couldnt see the benefit in running that chassis even in spec classes it was way to docile for my liking. I now own the XRAY T2009 and havent looked back, the setup book alone is worth more than my old Cyclone I ended up selling it to a drifter and he loves it apparently it's the best thing he's ever driven

If I could offer any advice, if you're going to take your racing seriously (as most of us do when we start) never buy a cheap chassis and spend hundreds on hop ups as you might as well burn your money instead because it will never achieve the same level of a high end chassis.

Cheers
Adrian

I can definately see your point of view. I went the upgrade/rtr route when I started offroad and I paid for it in a short amount of time.!! I guess if I was going to put as much effort into onroad as I do offroad, I wouldn't even be on this thread. I wouldve already bought a t2 009 eu and never looked back! For the money though the cyclone s seems to offer exactly what I want, a tc that can be competitive through the winter months until the nitro starts burning again. If I decide to stick with onroad, I'll just pass the cyclone off to my daughter and move on before I put money into upgrades!

I love the set up book as well, but it's not just for XRay's. I've used the info in it on TC4, XXX-S, and even a Cyclone S. The book is great resource every TC racer should have a copy of it.

I am going to be a new HB Cyclone and Cyclone S owner. I am wondering where I can find some good carpet setups for RCGT, 17.5 and 13.5 sedan classes.
Thank you for the help

So this car would be good for a beginner in asphalt with rubber tires right?
