Default gearbox oil for tyres

i heard you can use some sort of gearbox oil as tyre additive and use it on your tyres. what kind of "gearbox" oil is it... and where i can buy it?

Most tire compunds use an "oil" as a base - mineral oil, wintergreen oil, citrus oil etc - everything else in the mix is usually just a solvent.

Gm Top Engine cleaner is also a very good tire sauce.. We use it here in the states on our rubber capped oval car tires.. It really softens the rubber, and makes it very nice and tacky..
