Something to keep in mind if you are putting plastic on the chassis is that the plastic will not be flat after you chew it up a bit. This will be a problem when you go to make sure the chassis isn't tweaked or set droop using blocks. Any wrinkling around screws will give you the same problems.
Also, if you do put a deep enough gouge to go through the plastic and scratch the carbon fiber, CA'ing the cf will make removing the protector hard and leave ridges. (no, I haven't done this
