how do I charge and maintain NIMH batts?
Its been about 15 years since I charged and discharged batterys. I just bought the super mod IB 4200 6 cell batterys from team brood. I have a ICE intellipeak charger. The guy at team brood told me to charge the batterys at 6amps for mod motors and 6.5 to 7 amps for stock 19t motors. When I discarge till next time I race discharge them to 5.4 volts then before i charge them again put them on the integy zero discharge tray and drain them down to 0 volts then charge them again. My question is after runing the batteries do I let them cool before I discharge them. Also my charger has all these options I dont know how to use or if I should use them, like what is peak sensitivity and what should I set it to?what is trickle charge current and what should I set that to?what is top off charge and what should I set that to? what is the point of cycleing your battery packs?and what amps should I discharge at. the batteries say dis 35 on them. Need help please

first off don't discharge the IB"s down to 0 volts they don't like it. Set the delta peak at 3mv/cell or 18mv/pack. trickle charge is not useful for racing.
I wouldn't charge my batteries at over 6 amps unless its a serious meeting any higher and u are just killing the cells. Cycling can wake up old packs or give u numbers to refer later in the packs life so u can see how much performance they have lost. The Ice can only discharge at a maximum of 10 amps. The reason ur batteries say discharged at 35 amps is because that is what the are matched at. 10 amps will just take longer to discharge.

I would not discharge your IB's below .90 per cell, or 5.4 volts under any circumstance. And yes, you can discharge right after running, but if you can, put a fan on them to help them staycool.
