How many people race the TB Evolution 5 nowadays?

I still have my TB Evo V and its more like a shelf queen for the past 2 years now. It has won 1st place twice in the novice silvercan class race in our place. I think its very ideal for the silvercan class largely to its smooth rolling shaft-driven lay-out which gives power to all fours straight on. I havent tried running it on anything stronger than a 21.5T BL motor for fear of stripping the spur or the bevel gears.

If you mesh the gears correctly why would it stripped? Plus all the parts from TB03 will fit, no need to baby it

Anyone have an aluminum steering bridge to connect the steering to the upper deck?

Cool looking car. I didn't realize Tamiya offered this model with a graphite chassis. The graphite chassis is a Tamiya product?

The TB Evolution series is a model on its own and not an aftermarket upgrade of a plastic tub TB-02/3, it's a full competition level kit it just never carried the TRF name like the belt drive Tamiyas. The most recent version is the Evo V MS but nothing has happened on the TB Evo platform for probably close on 5 years now.

I should have guessed it's a few years old. No lipo tray. Any plans for an update on this model?

most likely not. compared to belt you get the torque steer on shaft cars amongst other issues so i don't see shaft coming back though i wish hahah.

Any of you have DIY images on how to fit yokomos FCD's on TBevo5's? Active hobby ones are crap.

Any info/images would help. Thanks!

I have (2) eve 5's for sale. Not posted anywhere. Email me your email address. And I will send pics ASAP. A friend from the Seattle is interested I think in only one. Both kits are nearly flawless. I'm selling one for a friend. He raced it 2 years ago. Only (1) time at the KO race.
