Yokomo BD10LC

Yokomo BD10LC/LCR
Changes:
- Upper bulkheads lightened (2 holes instead of 4 and more cutouts)
- Lower front shock tower (rear is the same)
- horizontal rear body post option (already on the xray, mugen, and awesomatix)
- Axon hex hubs (already avaliable for BD10)
- Axon bladder and o-rings (cool if you like axon)
- Axon hard spur (I'm assuming its their TCS V2 spur and its probably like 116t so you'll need a new one for stock anyway)
Not many changes but the BD10 was already a good car to begin with.

It looks like from the blurred photo they kept plastic arms and the standard suspension blocks so we won't get any super low mounted shocks like on the mugen or awesomatix. The most blurring occurs in the upper bulkhead and shock tower area so this is probably where the changes were made. The only thing I can think of is just making the shocks shorter and the shock tower flatter so I'll be interested to see what they have done on friday.

Actually on a less blacked out photo on Facebook you can see very short, lower mounted and more inboard shocks.

I find strange that they re-design the upper bulkheads without lowering the fixation of the shock tower. The result would have been similar but probably more esthetic.

It really feels like Yokomo is putting out the BD10LC just to say they have a new kit. Is there really that much that has changed to need a new kit? I purchased the BD10 thinking it would be better than the BD9 and it wasn't...at least not for me. Going from rear motor to mid motor was nice but in all honesty the Medius conversion for the BD9 was way better than the actual BD10. Yokomo is going down hill in my opinion...sad!

Well they're not calling it a complete new car. They're literally still calling it a bd10 and not marketing as a complete new car. I dont mind this model of doing revisions as long as they sell kit upgrades to get to this new spec. For them going downhill they did have some big internal structural changes that seemed to slow down the high-end racing aspect.

The T4 only had marginal changes this year. it doesn't make sense to call it a BD11 since not enough was done. The BD10 was a good car so it doesn't make sense to change too much when you already have a proven platform. My guess is that there will be an upgrade kit.

One or two revisions like this are fine, but after that I believe a new name would help a lot.
Otherwise you'll just get a T4'13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23 and so on. The longer this goes on the more confusion on parts compatibility it creates.

I may get some of the individual parts as they become available, but I am pretty happy with the BD10 as it is already.
