So no, there won't be a conversion kit.

i highly doubt that there will be a conversion kit as its a totally new tb evolution with new bulkheads (new bottom plate) etc. etc., there's never been a conversion from evo 1 to evo 2, evo 2 to evo 3, or evo 3 to evo 4 so i don't see why they would start now....

I just wanna know what parts they'll improve on this evo 5 for the evo 5MS

i know one of the bullet points (on the Tamiya site) is that the bulkheads are lighter than the ones on the EvoIV MS.

Couple of reasons
1) it has the new short wishbones... which if the theory is right (that they are similar in length to the Cyclone arms), then they will the ticket for indoor (Most top TRF drivers seem to use either the cyclone or old TA04 arms indoors).
2) it's a shaft.... and given that current consensus is that shaft is best for stock , and on a par with belt in 19t, and given I won't run more than a 19t indoors anytime soon... should make it a bit of a weapon.

Regarding the ground clearence, I never run less than 5mm indoors, force of habit really, as a number of clubs I ran at had a rule in place to stop people chopping the loop given it couldn't be placed under the racing surface.

I am wondering does short wishbones = short dog bones... ? so lets say i want to use the LW suspension set instead, do i need new dogbones as well?

in mod, i am not so sure to go after the top-top uber cars with super strong motors.
But its probably a great car for stock where you have less of a flywheel effect

yes at the mo evo 4 runs 46mm shaft`s
will go down to 42mm shaft`s to accomodate new wishbone setup

To be honest, I doubt it'll need new axles...
if (and it is a big one) the theory that the arms are the same length as the cyclone ones, then simply, I wouldn't have thought they'll change it. The cyclone arms are only 1.5mm R and 1mm F shorter than the current LWT arms, and given that the bearing spacing would still be the same, no need really
The TA04 suspension used short dogbones beacuse a) the arms were shorter, and b) the bearings in the hubs were further apart, and hence longer axles.

Hopefully they use the same axles since i've got the ti version

It would be interesting if they include the motor heatsink and blue short turnbuckes for the stabiliser and the blue stabiliser ball ends as shown in the pics posted by Masa. Only time can tell. as they don't come standard in the MSX.

what are you on about, they all come with the MSX apart from the heatsink.

Sorry about that. I got confused with the TA05 stabiliser set that I just got a few weeks ago. Its all good then. Hopefully we get the heatsink as well.

Interesting new chassis.
Could you mention all new improvement over evo IV so far (roughly by looking the photo only).
I still consider it worth to wait and later compare with the Yoke's LCG.

is more lower than LCG some more the upper deck is one piece more rigid than LCG 2 piece.
