internal ratio is: 2.437

alum. servo mounts: 53723
shock retainers: 49311
Ti coated suspension hinge pins: 53851

please send donations to my paypal account hebiki@gmail.com for all my hard work!
than it should be 39 teeth diff gear with the 16 bevel gear then EVO 4 would not fit becasue EVO 4 internal ratio are 2.294

Maybe 10-cent plus 3% for the fee would be better.

Today first race with the EVO 5.

likes
-a lot of steer
-very free drive train
-easy to maintain
-even after a crash the car has no tweak
-nice transpondermount

dislikes
-max gear ratio = 4.8
-gear housing is not sealed (dust and sand is easy getting in)
-ball bearings are not free
-no spool available

Default manual

Is there a possibility to post the manual on-line.

Just to know the parts, for my order of spare parts.

Thanks,

C van der Hagen,

How is the gear housing not sealed?

Could you reoil the ball bearings?

Chris,

For the bearings, did you just run them as they came with the kit?

For best result you should really flush them out with shellite/motor spray etc and oil them before putting them in the car.

As for the lack of sealing for the gearbox, can you tell me where the dust gets in?

Do the plastic upper and lower parts fit poorly?

Looking at the pics of the alloy housings, it looks like there are some machined-out hollow areas in the side where dirt could get it, is this correct?

Everything is possible with Tamiya and one thing I have learned is you will get left behind if you'll be waiting for the latest and the greatest.

I don't think the evo 5 is "MS-able" .... i mean... what other upgrades are there left to this car? asides from a few titanium things.... or flourine coated things... its maxed out.... at least that's how i feel
