this one's for my 2nd exo5. not even a scratch on the bottom of the chassis, well treated. and cheaper than buying an evo 6 w/aftermarket aluminium gearboxes if they ever become available. exo 5 conversion kits are even on sale on some web sites

I'm debating whether to keep my EVO5s or sell them. I've only raced them a handful of times. Currently, I've been on a racing hiatus and I don't expect to return to club racing for a long while. By then, I would think there's a radical change to touring cars... thoughts?

I haven't raced mine in a long time. Time to take it out and refresh everything

Don't sell the chassis. All the time, care and money you put into the chassis.
Give it to your kids or grandkids.

Default Easier Way To Uninstall Differential?

There's gotta be a way to uninstall the Diffs in this chassis...?
I had a tough job taking the Diffs out with the Sway Bars installed.

Just loosen the two sway bar holders (the big screw, not the small grub screw) and let them drop down out of the way. This allows you to move the sway bar around so you can get the CVD's back into the diff's out drives a lot easier. If you use sway bar stops, the little blue donut shaped things you place on the sway bar to keep your sway bar centered and you don't mess with the grub screws that you have adjusted to balance your sway bar, all you have to do is place the sway bar in it's notch and reattach the sway bar holders. If you disconnect the sway bar this way it won't affect the settings you previously made to balance the sway bar's.

Question for anyone that's used the exotek lightweight spool have you had any issues with it and how often do you replace the driveshaft blades on the spool
I ask because I think I may have done something wrong because in what seemed like a very short time mine had managed to damage the blades in such a way they were denting the spool itself

The blades are wearable items (depending on how often you race, motor, etc).

Where are you denting the spool? Where the blade and the spool meet? The only thing that can cause excessive wear is if the spool is not smooth where the blade sit.

That's how it is for any mechanical investment. You should only spend money on a upgrade part that you really need.

Anyone have the Motor Heat-Sink installed on their Evo 5; while running a Brushless Motor?
