Default Aluminium Chassis

Hi Clint,

Funny you should ask! I just finished making one on my CNC router. So yes, they are available...from me.

Let me know if you're interested.

Looks great. But why not make a narrower chassis?

first race day with my custom 6061 alloy chassis, went well..never had time to change my set up to accommodate the stiffer chassis but managed to finish 4th in USGT out of 10 guys running, finally found a good gear ratio for my Viper 21.5 BE as well.. running on old worn out tires didnt help either..

I just wanted to make a quick replacement first off. I have plenty of AL sheet so the next one I make will probably have some changes....mainly weight saving. The Aluminium is heaps heavier than the carbon. I might make it thinner too. I used 3mm for the first one and it's pretty heavy. Stiff, but heavy.

mine is roughly 2.14 mm weighed in at 129g, carbon exotek chassis was 68g.
