Looks like the same thing, only that's only a pack of 2, the other is a pack of 4.

Do ya'll think the new TB03 center one-way set 54126 will fit into our Evo5's?!?

Quoted from the Tamiyausa site for the TB03:

When you accelerate, the one-way bearing locks in and creates traction. When you decelerate the one-way bearing freely moves reducing the chance of stalling which can be clearly noticed when cornering.

I have been looking through both instruction manuals but I don't personal own or know anyone that owns a TB03 so I can't directly compare the two side by side!

I've heard that it does, but cant say 100% if that's right. I hope so as i've always run 2 one-ways in my cars (center and front).

- evoV MS has easier access to the spur gear
- steering rack system from the 416 (uses only 1 screw to mount to the top deck)

best thing to do is download the manuals and compare. i would think it would take the entire center portion (upper deck, spur gear holder, motor holder, etc). but thats just my guess.

No! The topdeck is different, and the lowerdeck i think only looks differnt (the cuting of the rear is styled like the 416 one).

But the mayor changes of the MS are not so easy to build in an "normal Evo5"

Take a look here, there you can download the manual and compare.

I researched the conversion from a EVO 5 to a EVO 5 MS using the owner's manuals of both cars and it takes more then 20 pieces to perform the conversion and most are not available through Tamiya USA parts yet. The retail price of the parts is more the cost of a new MS kit off ebay....

Yeah thats right! I also played around with the idea to convert my Evo5 in an MS, but the MS parts are hard to get, and if you want to make a 100% conversion, you already can buy a whole kit.

So the new layout for fast change the spur is also not realy a must have for me, because i think i changed it 2 or 3 times in (i think) now 3 years of racing.

I just picked up a used evo 5 that was run on rough asphalt. The chassis is pretty tore up and I'm looking for a new -or- used but in nice shape lower deck. If anyone has one that they're willing to part with please pm me with the details.
