as long as your lhs has ample parts support for this car, consider the TA04 as a keeper. i also got a used TA04 SSG a couple of months ago and its a very capable car - very easy to setup and drive, easy to maintain diffs and change belts, and the suspension parts are very tough.
re. the plastic bulkheads, you wont have any problems with them as i havent cracked one yet, considering the amount of airtime ive done
i think the only downsides are:
1. you may strip the threads if you overtighten the screw (you can easily repair this with some CA on the screw hole.) this happens if you frequently remove the upper deck or the upper gear cases for maintennance...
2. the shock tower screw holes may crack (you can reinforce this with 2-part epoxy or CA), and...
3. the mounting hole for upper bearing guide of the rear belt may also crack, same as the shock tower screw holes.
