Those shocks are so smooth and the carbon reinforced Tub chassis is excellent. Just watch out for some minute shorting on the chassis when using the saddle packs. You will have to use some insulation to stop it.

Didn't get it from Andy but I will be getting my hop ups from him. I think I'll hold off on the chassis though. The kit came with the carbon light chassis, I think it's the same one. Everything is still in the black box. I wont start putting together until I get my hop ups.
Thanks for the tip on the batteries, I will be using side by side packs. Where would you put the insulation?

Outdoor bitumen foam setup
Hi all,
Here's a good set-up for a fast, flowing outdoor bitumen circuit. Fairly long straight and a couple of fast changes of direction.
This setup placed me second out of a strong field of 60+ cars on the weekend.
Front
40wt 2 hole piston
Yellow spring
Outer hole on arm and shock tower
Stock camber link position
5mm ride height
1mm droop
2 degree neg camber
1 degree toe out
Yellow sway bar
Rear
40 wt 2 hole piston
Yellow spring
Outer hole on arm and middle hole on tower
Upper camber link hole on hub and upper innermost hole on shock tower
5.5mm ride height
3mm droop
2 degree neg camber
2 degree toe in (standard)
Yellow sway bar
Other
Stratus shell
Full time 4WD - no one-ways
Orion Core stock
Rollout of 30.5
37 shore front and 35 shore rear
60mm rear tire, 58mm front tire
Orion 3000HV cells
Ambient temp 40 degress celcius +!!!!!!!!
Car proved very easy to drive and extremely manouverable through traffic. Worst part of the track for the car was the high speed sweeper (no one-ways) but the car was awesome on the fast direction changes.
Lack of testing time meant I could not try one-ways, but I would have liked to.
Keep the set-ups coming and bring on the TRF TA04!

Thanks Scotty for the information.
Anyone have a set up for slightly bumpy, medium traction asphalt track. Long straights with a busy infield. rubber tires is what we use.
Thanks.

Indeed when closely studying this pictures it looks like the 414 arm attachement blocks are being used on this one....

It also look like it's using SSG chassis!!!

I still think it looks just like a fully hopped up TA04 Pro.. Compare the two and see if I'm wrong.. Don't get me wrong I am a big Tamiya Ta04 Fan but I have to call it how I see it

Sure it's a fully hopped up 04, but a very special one!
I know I can't get hold of an SSG chassis for mine and I have yet to see anyone successfully perform the roll centre mod on the arms.
Add to that all the blue goodies, worlds style front roll bar, alloy pulleys and all the other stuff we can't see and that's one great car.
