Default Which ESC?

i am in a quandary. i am in the process of getting a new ESC, but am uncertain of which to get.

my options are either
1. LRP QC3
2. LRP Sphere Competition Digital
3. Novak GTX
4. Novak GTB

at present i am using only brushed motors, but i obviously want to be able to run brushless. i am leaning towards the LRP Sphere Comp.

me too, just got my GTS. works perfectly. but heh, does your heatsink get warm? i mean when i stop my car and put my finger on its heatsink, u will feel it starts to get hot above 6-8 seconds later. i just fried my Futaba ESC, so have to be extra careful with this one.

one more thing. i m using this Tamiya Super Stock motor TZ, do i need to solder the 3 pcs of transistor/capacitor to the motor? coz i notice that there are 3 smaller ones attached to the motor itself, so i was just wondering if the existing ones are the ones described in the Novak Manual. TQ

Any of the listed above are good ESCs. But there are also other options aside from LRP and Novak to choose from. You might want to consider ESCs from KO Propo, MRT, Keyence, Mtroniks, and Robitronic too.
