Futaba 9550 servo in FT TC4
 

I have a FT TC4 and a 9550 servo. The instruction manual does not reference this servo. I have tried serveral spapcer arrangements, but plaing the ball stud facing the rear of the car on the servo arm causes the link to hit the servo case. The only arrangement that works is to use no spacers and to put the ball stud on the front side of the servo arm, which not what the instructions show. Anyone else have a better solution? Thanks.

Can you add a few thin spacers between the end of the servo (output gear) and the servo arm? Some thin motor washers should do the trick... and it may move the servo arm out far enough that the ballstud would clear the servo case when mounted on the inside of the arm facing the servo. I dont know how much room you need, but there should be a minimum of 1/8" to play with using the kit servo arm.

You want servo arm F with black ball stud.
Fit the thin spacer as per instructions.
Use the kit ball cups - any aftermarket ones are too thick and will foul the servo.
It is tight and just clears by a paperwidth but you do get full lock on the steering arms.
