charging 1/12th scale receiver packs

gidday,

I was wanting to know what current you charge your 5 cell gp 160mah receiver packs at? My charger has a limit of 0.5amps and gp recomends 0.16amps on there spec sheet. What do you guys do about this?

Also is it correct to have a switch for the receiver pack?

Thanks for the help
Mike

.5 amps will work fine for charging your reciever pack. Normally I charge my own packs at .3 amps, but use .5 when in a hurry. I have charged packs at these amperages for years and have not experienced any problem with the cells. I've seen warnings that charging at over .1 amps will damage the cells, but my experience with various brands of cells over a long period has shown this to be false.

You can use a switch on the reciever pack or take the plug in and out of the reciever. Remember to remove or cover up the switch on the esc.

Thanks very much. I will try both your tips.

Mike
