Xray T1r 251mm-260mm
xray EVO 4 251mm-260mm

hot bodies, pro 4 , yoke BD , T2 ,05 ,JRXS ,415 i`m after

Eirik 04-08-2006 11:31 AM

Tamiya 415MSX
253mm-261mm

What you need this info for???
Just curious :)

MR JOLLY 04-08-2006 11:45 AM

since my race mates (not many left now  ) have been banging heads about certain cars go better indoors then out & vice a versa
just got me thinking in my spare time & the fact the yoke SD on it`s shortest setting is only the middle setting on the cyclone, T2 is also short

we were using droop, oils, shock angles, roll bars ,roll centre we were just going around in circles

then wheel base pop into my mind into why the belt cars were canning the shaft cars indoors
cyclone very short

also would like `our` East conversion car to go lot better indoors

Xray T2 255mm -260mm

It is when the Yokomo SD is about 265mm  , I think that is what 'Mr Jolly' is running from his reading his post.

HPI Pro4 and HB Cyclone wheelbase are the same. 256mm-259mm

 :tire:

Why you not after the TC4 I feel left out :(

MR JOLLY 04-08-2006 02:53 PM

the SD was around 265mm
the other night went down to 261mm 3+1 on front 2+2 on back
then the other night went 4+0 front ,1+3 rear tons better just rotated that much faster & safer
when you see the cyclone wheelbase & see how quick it goes on carpet with rubbers , not suprised now with the short wheel base it uses

be intresting for the BD not that good indoors but outdoors it fly`s
(this is for general racers at club ,not the one off fancy pant`s driver that can make anything go fast)

BRCA rules state a minimum wheelbase of 250mm and a maximum of 270.

Should be pretty simple for AEAST to lay up a short wheelbase SD chassis combined with a custom short propshaft if you want to create an indoor killer.

Perhaps combined with a "short" shell like the Protoform Xsara.

MR JOLLY 04-09-2006 05:01 AM

shortest the SD will go is 260mm
so with the 415,cyclones ,T2 running around 257mm
no wonder they are faster on our tight tracks indoor or out

Eirik 04-09-2006 05:52 AM

Guess you have some dremmeling to do then :sneaky:
