Double one ways on belt cars????
 

OK so I know how you put a one way in the front of shaft cars so the front can free wheel into the turn helping cornering. So why do people run a front and center one way on belt cars if the front one way is letting the front freewheel already? What is the center one way doing? I don't see any one way driveshafts with front one ways on shaft cars? Please explain!!!

Dude, ....the centre one-way(1W) helps the front 1W to be smoother by cutting off the drag from the drive train from the driveshaft to the front 1w.

There IS a difference in handling, which can be felt when running the same car with : 1) Front 1W only, 2) Centre 1W only and 3) Both front and Centre 1W.

I think there are shaft driven cars with dual 1W system. ....hmmm ? :confused:

my atlas touring car has that dual one-way system stock on it, it also has a threaded hole for a screw to lock it up.

you can also use a front diff with a center one way, another different way to change handling, easier to controll out of the corners.

Double oneways will take the front drive belt basically out of operation when you let off the throttle, this allows the car to freewheel with only the rear belt. There is almost no drag off throttle. This will probably be best for very open, high speed tracks with absolutely no braking.
Front only oneways still keep the front belt "engaged" when off throttle, allowing more drag, slowing the car down a bit faster, most cars come this way, most racers I know use this set-up.
Center only oneway will again take the front belt out of operation allowing you to freewheel off throttle, but if you want to use a spool to try to coast in a corner, then nail the throttle you my like this set-up, personally dont know anyone who uses this. Its all personal preferances though.
