i tried using a "teletron" transformer with 12V, 25A to power up my muchmore CTXC charger, but it start up the screen and says "Supply error, check voltage", and it keeps beeping, no way to pass tru this screen. so i tried to power it up with my car battery, but its ok. so may i know wats the problem here? i have another power supply 12V, 6A, so can it be used? else if i need to buy another power supply, wat do i need to watch out so that it dun happen like my current transformer. TQ. so desperate liao, waiting for days for my charger to arrive yet cannot play. gr.........

turn on you PS. and put a multimeter on it. it should read anywhere from 12v to 15volts

if you are outside this range (below 11v and over 15v) then the charger will give error.

maybe your PS has adjustable voltage?

your other PS that has 6amp can be used. but i wouldnt charge at anything over 5amps. actually to be on the safe side, i would only charge at about 80% of the 6amp rated PS. so around 4.5amps.

bro, can u recommend wat are the ideal spec for CTXC charger then? since u are also using CTXC. m so frustrated over it liao.

hi, to match your ctx-c, get a muchmore worlds 2 power supply. its 24amps.

i give you link where to get it for cheap about $160 delivered.

alternatively goto electronic store and pick up a PS there.

Or, head on down to your local Radio Shack. For $100, you can get a very good 25 amp PS.

m using this "Teletron" TC-1225A power supply, which cannot be used. i think its either too low or too high voltage. so its really difficult for me to pick another PS since we dun know if it will work or not. but i heard that we need switching power supply or regulated power supply. btw, wats the difference between switching power supply and my Teletron Power Supply

uniquexme, Ur particular PS is listed as an UNREGULATED type. The CTX-C apparently can sense that "ripple" (AC that 'leaks' thru the PS, instead of the cleaner/Pure DC of regulated types) in the output. Ur voltage is probably fine but the Team Much More charger needs regulated and filtered power. (your car battery is as clean a DC as possible)

Switching PS's simply use transistors to produce the desired power. They work more effeciently but have a tendency to overheat.
