My 4.5 is so loud maybe one of those bearings went bad.
BTW my 4.5 is sintered no Kevlar wrapping!!!

Hi Guys,
I run a B4 off road and want to get a TC Spec Sphere because it has a higher BEC (5.8v). I want to know will I have profile problems as its designed for touring cars? Also is the TC Spec's heatsink taped on, or a metal/mechanical attachment?

Hello again, This morning i go to the track for some testing, include the weird phenomenon with my motor. The day is sunny, 30ºC and the track are 58ºC, is hot, my old Sorex 36 are rip ...
I retire the nylon washer, in the back lid, my first pack run 6:30 minutes, in the morning the track are at 43ºC, the motor not fade at any moment, but finish at 78ºC, and ESC 70ºC.
In the second pack, not fade, and temperature raise to 84º motor, 76º ESC.
In the third pack, not fade again, the temperature are dangerously high, 86ºC motor, 82º ESC, only 8 flashes to cut, at internal check temp. i feel, a soft motor at 4:30 minutes.
In the next pack, i put a dissipator in motor and fan in ESC, the temp low to 60ºC in ESC and 80ºC in motor, with not sintom of fade, and 7 minutes run.
I run a 6 packs in total, and not sintom of fade at any moment, the motor are fast in all packs, the back lid are deformed and i change for a new one.
I don´t know is the problem are the Washer, the lid or the temperature, but when the problem happens the batteries run 5 minutes right and now 6-7 minutes.
I take a temperature with a Exergen 301, is a infrared termomether used for nitro motors.
Well, i continued probed and next will compare with the 4.0

Will extending the length of the capacitor lead by about 1 inch have any detrimental effects on the TC edition sphere? I have heard that on some other brand speed controls that lengthening the lead can cause issues.
Also what grade are the ceramic bearings LRP offered for the X-11 series motors?

@Guo Chean: no, the ceramic bearing is the exact same dimension as the regular bearing. Also there is not a lot of play required, but if you feel there is too little (or none) with either of the bearings then you can simply install the plastic washer on the other side of the bearing, so you get more play.
@CountryHick: lengthening the cap leads shouldn't be an issue, as long as you don't extend it too far (I'd say don't go over 1"/25mm increase). Obviously you need to use the same wire diameter as well.
As for the ceramic grade, I'm actually not sure but I think it's the highest grade you can get without buying "spacecraft grade"... I never had a ceramic one go bad so far, so they're pretty good.

As always, excelent ideas, Burito. The bearings are very good, after a hard competition and more packs, in some diferents conditions, i don´t have an issue with them, very smooth and minimum maintenance.
Well, i have some capacitors with a low inductance, i like to probe a 10000uf instead of 2200 that it comes with esc. ¿That can happen?, any one probe it.
¿Is bad for a esc?, ¿Is possible that less is warmed up?, like in the Esc for BS.
Now, are a new solid capacitors,less prone to warm up itself and they obtain more stable voltages, ¿It is possible to obtain better yields, changing the normal one by these?, ¿or it can that the gain is insignificant?.

Do I need to change the bearings?
I would have thought I would get at least 2-300 runs and by that time isn't the rotor cooked?
