This will sound funny; but, my Sphere Comp 2007 has "yank" over the 2-3 Novaks I have driven so far.

Asphalt RDX is going together 80-90% this week; but, probably not ready for Saturday. Still looking for an offset motor mount and the brand new Futaba servo I bought came with a broken tab out of the package...geeze.

I will certainly have a couple LRP Comp 2s for sale. Keeping the one that MF gave me for the Nats...and obvious sentimental reasons...miss that boy...

Hi,

Any advice would be very helpful.

I am looking to run 5-cell mod, brushless this season. I am going to purchase the Sphere 80750 for the season but not sure which motor to go for with running 5 cell.

Any ideas? I don't wana be toooo quick cos I am getting old. But would like to be competitive - something equivelant 10 turn brushed motor when running with 6 cells??

Anyone done any running with 5 cells?

Many thanks

@simi: go for the X11 4.5t (#50691), very good allround motor for 5- and 6-cell use.

I race the Nationals, with a 4.5 and 5 cells, and are very fast. I feel, with a good 7 BS motor. Combined with ESC, Nosram Matrix Evo 2007, not blue are red, je,je,...

Reto, have you been to the track for the 12th scale Euros?? any thoughts on which motor?? We have been running X11 5.5 in the UK, but I guess for Euros a bonded 4.5 should be legal.....

I know, I know.

Knew it was there; but, was hoping someone had one sitting around unused.

Went to NorCal and "paid the piper" (maybe he should be called Piper Roy?). It is no longer 'on the shelf' and will be installed tomorrow.

Did have to return a new low profile Futaba 9550 servo though...It came new with a broken tab.

I know the track very well, been doing a lot of testing there. I have tested both 5.5T and 4.5T X11 with bonded rotor. 5.5 was the way to go since it was easier, and had more runtime. The ratio was 32 mm.
