For sure a 92 doesn't fit.

I run a 70 at the moment and I can mesh with down to a 24t pinion and up to a 35, maybe higher but I didn't try.

Hope that helps.

Neal
Thanks for that info.

So I guess the are two new parts coming out for the TC5. I hope we haven't designed the same part! Our part is a new engine mount that will move the motor closer to center. It is not the whole bulkhead like seen from elsewhere. It will be a simple and inexpensive way to achieve the same result.

I look forward to seeing what you have come up with.

I too cannot wait to see this as the location of the motor is one of my concerns with the tc5.

Thanks, Jason.

Does anybody have a good 17.5 rubber set-up out there. I am currently using Kevin Hebert's set-up with 45wt. oil in the front and 35wt. oil in the back. The seems pretty good to me, but I am getting eaten up out there.lol. Also I am struggling with a good gear ratio. I currently have 104 spur and a 34 pinion. The motor I have is Tekin 17.5 and a LRP SPX speedo. The track has a 75 ft. straightaway and not to technical infield. Any help would be great. I am kind of new to electric TC.

http://67.199.85.166/racing/setups/t...vclub_2009.pdf

one thing though.. for 17.5 im using a 1.5mm (silver) sway bar up front and 1.25mm (black) swar bar in the rear and im also using the Exotek chassis (lower deck, top deck and lowered layshaft holders - http://www.exotekracing.com/EXOTEK_N...6/29_TC5X.html )

Did you notice a difference in performance with this chassis?

honestly... i dont think im good enough to see if i went 0.1 faster or not.... Keven Hebert apparently will have one for the Ko Propo Grand Prix (which will be held at the same track I race at) and Christer Andersen (sp?) won with it (on carpet) in europe where he beat Rheinard. so thats your proof right there.

i did feel i was more consistent with it. but that could be the product of Sean's set up as well as the chassis. who knows?

Left to Right balance was easier to achieve..... the battery holders are awesome since they're weighted too. . overall id recommend the chassis without hesitation.
