Get's rid of the awful looking lead weights on the side, made from stainless steel.

They look the nuts!!..

I know it was mentioned a while back but would like some up-to-date opinions.

Im looking to replace/upgrade my bearings in my TC5R, has a anyone had really good experience with any after market bearings?

AVID/ACER/others/ where mentioned here. So what are your thoughts?

I have avid bearings in my car, and compared to the stock bearings there a TAD smoother. But the biggest thing I've found good, there wayyy more durable.

What are some methods often used to free up the drive train besides belt tension? I have noticed on other cars you can pull the belt and the wheels will spin freely.

I persoanlly got the metal shielded ones, they seemed to free up the car alot. When you first get them take off one of the side covers and spray out the grease from the factory and put a good light weight lube in them and they should be good to go. I tried the revolutions and they are good but I think that the metal shielded ones are smoother.

Soak the belts in wd40 overnight, I have gone as far as cutting every other tooth off both belts, that really helped me, I also used the TiR world cvd's, which you probably cannot get anymore as I have heard bad things about people not getting parts after ordering them. I personally had no problems.

Like them a lot an the free up the drive train a lot more! Also Using Avid RC Ceramic Bearings.

Soaking the belts in WD40 also makes the tooth weak of the belt's. Wich makes it wore out more.

á 416 front belt will also fit in a TC5
