Hey Russ! Can't wait for this years asphalt racing in a few months! I got WAY better equipment now! Spektrum DX2.0 system, Tekin G11 pro esc, Fantom Team Stock motor (insane torque on that baby!!!!!!!). Only thing that needs upgrading is my charger..............

I think some glue infiltrated my bearing, it's jammed. I soaked it in motor cleaner and still jammed. I'm just gunna get a new one. On the topic of bearings, does anyone know a good bearing kit for the TC5 like an Acer set or something?

TC5 is 2.5 thick chassis and top deck, is it not? When I got my TC5R I thought the chassis was thinner.

The biggest I could get was a 37t by Precision Racing Systems. Don't know if it helps but maybe someone else knows where to find bigger ones.

BMI Racing (www.bmiracing.com) sell pinions from 45T to 60T in 64p

They are machined aluminum plated with a special nickle/teflon coating. Very hard and slick.

I recommend Avidrc.com

They have great bearings, $1 each, slightly more if u prefer ceramic.

thanks for the help so far guys. i also wanted to ask i will be running a 13.5 brushless system. my system recomends 4.6 fdr. only things i could find presently in stock are these listed. 87 spur and 35 pinion which will put me at about 4.9 fdr. will there be enough room in the car and will it be a safe ratio for me? if not what do i need and where do i need to be. carpet, rubber tires, tc5r. thanks

I don't know if it will fit in a TC5 but we make this gear for guys that run 48p in 1/12th (in know it weird but some guys do it ).

This gear should let you hit any huge ratio you want with 48p pinions for 13.5 and 17.5.

It's 58T 48p with is the same as a 78T 64p gear.

DB5058 $7.99ea.
