i was racing at bayside in 540. i guess cause the track has a lot of tight turns it suited no front sway bar. but im going to put it back on and try some different set ups....

Hi

Does anyone know if Joel's setup from the ETS round 1 is posted online anywhere (or will be?) Looked like he ran some very quick times on the much-more tires and just a bit of bad luck stopped him challenging marc and jilles. Would be great to try the setup out.

Cheers
Oli

I don't think any of the TC5 drivers use sway bars at Bayside because of the bumps, so I'd leave them off.

But I will try to have the setup up on the AE site soon. Otherwise give me your email adress, and i can send it to you.

Thanks Josh

At the ETS I didnīt use any pro-squat as seen on this setup. But otherwise its pretty much the same.

Cheers for that Joel.

Was going to say it looks quite different from anything I've tried so far - most notably the roll centres.

Will give it a try soon!

can anyone please tell me what battery size fits a TC5, i am trying to order lipo's online and want to be sure. can you also tell me how to determine if the battery is a 2 cell or 3 cell, i am running mamba 7700 and castle says only to run 2 cell with this motor:

thanks in advance.

You can look at the ROAR approved lipo battery list to find lipos that will fit. They all will fit in a TC5... its a very lipo friendly car. You can then use those dimensions to help determine what will fit if you go with a battery that is not on that list. That is also correct a 7700 has too many RPMs to be run with a 3 cell lipo. Only 2 cell will work.... to tell the difference a 2S lipo is 7.4V and a 3S is 11.1V. For the 7700 use a 2S 7.4V lipo. It should be advertised that way or would state that on the battery itself.

Joel's roll centers work pretty well. Juho and I were testing in Thailand for the Worlds and tried this with very good results. We did not try Joel's setup exactly due to lack of time, but it is worth a try. At the very least, try your favorite setup with these roll centers and
I am sure the car will work better.
