That now makes more sense to me. I guess you could also make a new shock tower with new holes to make a shorter link.
I watched the mod final on Live RC. You could just see the difference on the overhead camera shots between your car and Paul Lemieux's car. Your car just looked like it was ever so slightly stopping mid corner where as his didn't. Other than that the car looked great.

just a random TC5 question but does anyone run their car without a front sway bar?? was even thinking bout putting the thicker sway bar on the rear and putting thinner bar on the front. any thoughts? i havent had a chance to run the car with these changes yet.....

I've only been running the car for a month now but I've taken both my sway bars off. I'm running rubber on asphalt and my car is easier to drive without them. Putting a thick on rear/thin on front will make the car rotate better if that's what you are looking for. More steering, looser rear end.

Cool. Thanks. It looks like you were trying to stiffen things up a lot with the heavier oil in the front and no o-rings but were also running things very loose with the light springs. I will have to give it a shot and see how it works at my carpet track.

I went one step further and used 30 min epoxy on every side edge surface on the chassis, shock towers and upper deck. Epoxy is very strong and it also gives the edges a nice shine to match the top and bottom.

I just finished CA ing the chassis and top deck with quick set and it came out so smooth. What weight shock oil should I try for a foam set up?

What type of racing?? Motor and track. I would start roughly 55wt front 35wt rear.

You can always use the factory foam setup or download a setup from the AE website, you cannot go wrong either way.

I would still start with 27 turn or 19 turn. A 27 turn in a touring car is much faster, than you think. Look at what classes are run on the local track. The default rubber and foam setups work ok with stock to 19 turn classes.
