Anybody ever have a problem with their subc batts coming out during a race. I had 2 bad crashes and in both casees the batts came out somehow. Both times the thumb screws were still very snug.

Helps to improve rear traction during cornering. You should also try running about 1mm more rear droop if rear traction is an issue during cornering.

When I had my TC5 I had the same problem. Be sure you have filed/sanded the chassis battery slots far enough to allow the Sub-C's to sit flat and level to the bottom of the chassis. The plastic retainers in the middle of the pack on the chassis are not tall enough to compensate if you have not filed the battery slots far enough.

At the same time be carefeul how much you run too much the car will drive drive like a school bus,will also effect off throttle steering as well

I asked this question long ago and was told that I had to buy the entire diff rebuild kit. I have tried to find the nut w/o success on my own.
It would be nice to know the answer

No the tc4 stub axle is standard bearing and the tc5 is metric

If I am going to be running brushless 13.5, what is the smallest spur I should use? I have a 64 pitch 96t, 100t and 104t, but even the 104t seems a bit small. I have pinions 38-44t. I do not have my motor yet to check for mesh...

If you are running Foams, you will need the 96-Spur and 44-Pinion to get a 4.36 FDR. The trans ratio of the TC5 is 2.0:1.

I will be running rubber. So the 96t spur and 44t pinion should mesh up in the TC5? I planned on having the right gears to go from 4.5 to 5.5 for now.

Not sure you'll get to 5.5 with the 96 tooth spur. But I use a 96 tooth spur and 41 tooth pinion and it meshes fine.

You can buy the nut sepperatly, I have the part number at home, comes in a pack of 4...I'll post later today. However to have to buy the diff nut plastic retainer from the stock outdrive kit for $5.00. Another option is to try to press the old nut out of your retainer and the new nut in.
